Our bustling neighborhood, which prioritizes growth and community, was the site for this legacy event – the 43rd Adams Ave Street Fair – organized by the Adams Ave Business Association. The AABA provided the NHFSC with booth space and a few council members set up and manned our Mighty Tent. We offered fire safety tips and advice and organized a guessing game (prize: an SDG&E Go-Bag!), while engaging passersby in discussions about fire safety and home hardening improvements. This 2-day event (9/20-21/25) saw a steady flow of visitors, with Susan (chair) and her team handing out brochures, business cards, and other informational materials. Susan also networked with other booths and fair attendees, fostering connections for future collaboration. Overall, this first- ever participation was deemed enormously successful for the NHFSC, and we plan to participate again next year. Please visit us…or better yet, come learn and help!
